ELOUNDA HILLS RESORT, CRETE, GREECE

[READ]

These exquisitely modern interiors are chiseled from the ancient landscapes found distinctively in Elounda Hills, Crete. The ethos of this family resort and spa has been derived from a culture where nature and nurture unify. The design is born from heated terracotta kilns, locally mined stone, and unearthed clay. Mineral properties enrich the rooms and suites. A relationship between land and sea, informs bespoke furniture design and material choices of washed wooden cabinetry, locally found stone flooring, and bronze glistening mirror accents.

History in weaving is represented through wardrobe doors  that are woven with textile while headboard is woven in leather. Fluted wood detail on joinery is an ode to the architectural columns found in the capital city of Greece, Athens. Each of the suite villas leads onto a patio followed by a private pool overlooking the Aegan Sea.
